Since I have been an amateur ‘tour guide’ for quite sometime throughout these few years, I think it is a waste of not blogging about Kuching’s unique and significant places.

Civic Centre also known as Dewan Suarah Kuching, one of the a major landmark of Kuching. It is located in the heart of the city. The tower’s viewing platform enable visitors to appreciate the best panoramic view of  Kuching as well as the surrounding areas.

It should be a starting point and an introduction of Kuching town, history as well as legend before further visits (p/s: if you bring the right person who can narrate those for you).

This building is landmarked by its umbrella shape roof.

Well, if you are afraid of height you may just stop by the balcony. Couples usually gathered here at night when the lift service is off.

Officially opened on 1 August 1988.

Get to the top of the building via two bubble lifts. The building in black vertical window id the Wisma Saberkas which is a shopping complex mainly for IT gadgets.

Kuching is still filled with lush green trees unlike other cities in Malaysia. I just love the peacefulness.

A closer look. The white building on the left is the Sultan Iskandar Building where we settled our legal documents such as passport.

Police quarters.

Mount Santubong which often associated with some mythical legends.

The other mountains - Mount Serapi & Mount Matang.

Kuching Town Hall.

The roof is in lotus shape. such shape is unique to Kuching.

Reservoir Park and the Museum Garden. Beside it is the Sarawak Club.

Sarawak Club. Usually weekend there are swimming lessons held here for the students.

The back of Civic Center. You can park your car there.

Look down from the top.

Enjoy the view of the nature.

Observe the movements and shapes and sizes of clouds in Kuching.

Location

Along Jalan Taman Budaya. The building is easily spotted from the far.
