Yesterday I received a spam mail introducing Acai Berry supplement which said to promote rapid weight loss by ONLY consuming it daily. The promotion supported with some testimonials of the tremendous results and experience after the consumption by some satisfied customers. I felt rather skeptical about the rapid weight loss plan. What is Acai berry and can Acai berry diet plan really works?
What is Acai Berry? How it works?
Acai Berry (pronounced as ah-sign-ee), the fruit of the Acai plam tree is mainly found in the Central and South America. It is the native Americans’ staple diet, usually used in the flavoring Tequila (blue agave–based spirit). It has became amazingly popular after it was mentioned in the Oprah Winfrey Show by Dr.Oz during year 2008. However, back then, Dr. Oz did not touched on the weight loss issue but the issues on the nutritional benefits of Acai berry as it possesses a rich anti-aging power from its antioxidant properties, fatty acids and fiber.

Today, Acai berry has been marketed as one of the dietary supplements and weight loss products in many form from tablets, juices, smoothies, instant drink powder and whole fruit.
Till now, no medical claims proven that Acai berry is for weight loss. Acai berry cannot be relied solely in diets of weight loss but the diet may be more efficient by including Acai berry plus a regular healthy exercise. Many opt for the Acai berry diet plans mainly due to the myth of rapid weight loss. Drastic weight loss can cause serious health problems, besides, you wouldn’t want the appearance of stretch marks and sagging skin, would you?

Choosing sport shoes is a smarter choice to drop the pounds off naturally and the dropped pounds would probably stand a better chance of staying off. The best thing is to balance up those two, be moderate to increase the chances of reaching a sustained weight.
